Summary

In Chapter 46, Mikael Bellman walks into the hospital with 1000-krone notes and a Glock 22 with its safety catch off. He sees the guard chair still in front of Asayev's room and he walks in. All he can see is the reflection of someone behind him who is wearing a green mask and cap, a surgeon ready to operate. When Mikael Bellman wakes up, he finds himself strapped onto an operating table. The man in green is not the anesthetist, but he knows about the connection between Mikael and Asayev. Mikael suddenly realizes that he is at the scene of an unsolved crime.
