Summary

Finally in Chapter 16, Katrine Bratt, the specialist in tracking people down, finds Harry Hole. He is lecturing at the Police College, where Oslo's police force is trained. Katrine persuades Harry to talk to her, even though he tells her firmly that he has left the police force and does not want to go back. While she is trying to persuade him to discuss the murders, she meets Arnold Folkestad, another lecturer at the Police College, who tells Harry he has visitors in his office. Beate and Bjørn are there hoping he might help them with the police murders.
