Summary

Chapter 5

Ethan remembers checking in on Ben one last time before heading off to Wayward Pines. Ethan comes to in Wayward Pines Hospital to Dr. Jenkins tending to him. Ethan remembers passing out on Main Street the night before. Jenkins asks if Ethan has a family history of mental illness; Ethan says he does not. Jenkins asks about Ethan’s combat experience in the Iraq War. Ethan flew Black Hawk helicopters, and explains he was shot down in Fallujah in 2004. He is the sole survivor, and he is captured by the enemy. Jenkins is a psychiatrist, and is worried about Ethan. Ethan is now getting dressed, determined to leave once more. Ethan tells Jenkins there is something wrong with the town and all the people in it. Pam tries to stop Ethan from leaving, but he goes anyways, telling here the town is...
