Church

The church is the place where Hilda and Steven find Pew. Pew sneaked into the church to get a good night’s sleep and was still sleeping when the members of the church gathered for Sunday morning services. The Reverend decides Pew is a good name for the person found sleeping in Hilda and Steven’s pew.

The Attic

Hilda and Steven allow Pew to sleep in the attic bedroom in their home. Attic bedrooms are generally associated with punishment even though Hilda and Steven believe they are doing Pew a favor. Eventually, Hilda and Steven begin locking Pew in this room, demonstrating their growing distrust and fear of Pew.
