Chapter 20 Summary

At first all Penny can use of her mangled arm is her fingers, but Penny is determined to get the rest back as well. She is finally allowed to go home in mid September, providing she agrees to wear a sling and promise to do the exercises provided to her. When she gets home, she discovers that her room has been entirely redecorated. The walls are now a pale turquoise, similar to the color of the ocean. New lamps and a white chenille bedspread complete the renovation that makes it look more like Aunt Gina's bedroom. Penny is thrilled and surprised to discover that it was Pat Mulligan who took the time to paint for her. Penny's arm gets stronger every day, and Dr. Goldstein is happy with her progress. Aunt Gina takes Penny out to get her hair done, and Uncle Nunzio...
