Chapter 24, Connections Missed and Made Summary

The proposed raid on Camp-18 is to be led by the French in much the same way they obliterated the French terrorist camp. A sandstorm delays the operation. Then, while Ryan and Cantor are watching real time, the satellite infrared reveals a nearly empty camp and no apparent operation. It turns out that the French surprised a military exercise and had to abandon the raid. It appears, however, that it is too late anyway. The ULA camp is empty and Ryan feels the fear of the hunted.
