Chapter 2, Cops and Royals Summary

Ryan wakes up in the hospital to discover that his left arm is entirely immobile. It takes over six hours of surgery to put his left shoulder back together. Recuperating in the VIP suite of St. Thomas's Hospital, Ryan is being guarded by Anthony Wilson, who is with C-13, Anti-Terrorist Branch in London. Wilson asks Ryan to reconstruct the events of the previous day and corrects Ryan's misconception that the IRA was responsible for the attack. Rather, the Ulster Liberation Army is the group responsible for it. Even more surprising is that Jack Ryan is still unaware of the identity of the people he saved in the Rolls Royce.
