Summary

Chapter Eighteen begins a week later as stories begin to die down. They take precautions to hide more details of Olivia's personal life, but Max decides that they need a vacation. He tells her that he wants to go to Hawaii for five days and even makes a call to get a room at a special hotel. Ellie says she will fire Olivia if she does not go, so Olivia agrees to it. They fly to Hawaii where they go straight to the beach. It is revealed, however, that Olivia was a lot more stressed about the vacation than she let on and is happy that the press has backed off. Max asks her to join him at the meeting he is planning at the community center and they go for a walk on the beach.
