Chapters 25 through 27 Summary

In chapter twenty-five, Kira wakes in a hospital room. She has a serious injury to her leg and tries to figure out why Samm would have saved her. Madison confides in Kira that she's chosen a name for her baby - Arwen. Madison is given something to help her go back to sleep because the doctor is trying to postpone her labor. Kira tells a nurse she needs to see Mkele and he arrives soon after. Kira is in the room with the young soldier, Shaylon, and is helpless to stop Mkele when he gives Shaylon a drug through his IV, killing him. Mkele says the soldier had "seen too much" and that he had to be stopped before he told someone what he saw. Kira asks why he isn't killing her as well and Mkele says she's "an asset." He...
