Friday, September 17, 2027. Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, the group stops for a short break. The two girls go off with Emery to pee, and the rest of the group hears screams. They fend off an attack of six or more slavers, killing several of them. A stray bullet kills Jill as she is running towards camp with Tori in her arms. Lauren receives a bullet graze in her side.
