Paddy woke up in the morning and his routine was interrupted. The house wasn't clean like it usually was. Paddy questions his ma and admonishes her that she will have more work to do now. She just laughs, but doesn't give him a reason for the mess. Paddy knows whatever she says is a lie too. It was because of the fight that his parents had.

School starts again and it is the second time Paddy has Mr. Hennessey, also known as Henno, for a teacher, but this time it's for fourth grade. Liam is chosen by Kevin to be picked on. Paddy admits he liked Liam, but you had to hate many people in order to remain best friends with Kevin.
