The next Friday night ritual does not happen. The boys were all tired of being walloped by Kevin, especially since he wouldn't take his fair turn. Kevin was still leader of the pack, but there were times he wasn't liked.

George Best is Paddy's soccer hero. His da gave him a book about him and Paddy reads it and discovers a signature inside the cover. Paddy thinks it is real and asks his da about it. Da doesn't pay much attention to him at first. He takes the book and looks at the signature. Paddy asks him if he was at the store when da bought the book. Da hesitates but says yes. Paddy tries to ask him more questions about what went on, but da is vague. Paddy knows at that point that.....
