Da is learning how to drive a car with the whole family inside of it. He won't take suggestions, and the family is tense. Da ends up with a minor fender bender and growls at them. Paddy then remembers another family outing where they took pictures. Sinbad wouldn't smile, and da got mad at him then too. The perfect family outing wasn't perfect, even back then.

On one drive, they stop to eat and a silent fight between ma and da ensues. Paddy senses it, but doesn't know what has happened even after ma jumps out of the car in the rain with the baby. After a few minutes, she gets back into the car, soaking wet. Her only explanation for returning was that it was too wet for the baby.
