Summary

In Chapter 11, Yangjin and Sunja prepare her things for her move to Osaka. Yangjin does not know if she will ever “see her daughter again” after Sunja moves to Japan (94). Yangjin finds a gift that Hansu gave Sunja, and Sunja admits that the father of her child lives in Japan. Yangjin makes her daughter promise she will not visit this man in Osaka. Sunja packs the gold watch, intending to sell it in Osaka if she ever needed money.
