Summary

Chapter 30

In Chapter 30, Emma confides in Evan that it has been the most intense two and half weeks of her life and she is overwhelmed and scared. She tells him she has received a letter that she believes is from her father’s mother and she cannot open it. She disowned Emma’s father because he and her mother were not married when Emma was born. Evan offers to read the letter for her.

Emma’s niece and nephew miss Emma and her grandmother thinks it would be beneficial to the children to see her. Emma is upset that her grandmother does not want to meet her or apologize for not being part of her life. Emma cries because she misses her niece and nephew.
