Summary

Karen talks briefly about how one of the joys of being a six-year-old is that you find flatulence hilarious. She goes on to explain how when she reached forty-one years of age, she felt gassy all the time and seemed unable to find relief. At the time, she chalked it up to aging but soon after that, she started getting back pain and other symptoms which lead her to seek a professional opinion. After she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she was scheduled for a debulking whereby some of her organs would be removed. She jokes with the doctor that at least she will get skinny, but he does not understand the humor.
