Summary

Ace calls Karen’s phone and Jacob picks up. Karen panics because she thinks it might be Dave on the phone, and is relieved when Jacob tells her it is only Ace. Ace tells her of his plan to take his wife, Jill to France for their anniversary, and asks how she is doing. They then move onto the topic of the campaign and Ace says he has seen Bev talking about her humble upbringing, and decides he wants to publish something about his biography too. Karen insists that he does not need to, and that the election is as good as won. After the call, she watches a video where one of Bev’s granddaughters is interviewing her for a school project. Karen finds Bev very likable and inspiring despite herself.
