Bradley Headstone runs into Rogue Riderhood, who realizes the man is looking for Eugene Wrayburn. Riderhood says he spoke to Wrayburn, who made jokes at his expense. Headstone, disguised as a bargeman, continues to follow Wrayburn. He later returns after discovering Wrayburn is staying the night at the Angler's Inn.
