Summary

The co-worker teaches the new employee how to request supplies. Curtis Lance oversees the supply room. The co-worker explains that one must go through a complicated process to request supplies, which involves speaking to "Ellie Tapper" and quietly passing the "Unit Manager's office" (8). After detailing the contents of the supplies cabinet, the co-worker proceeds to introduce Gwendolyn Stich, who has an excessively positive personality, is obsessed with penguins, and “cries” (8) in the washroom occasionally. Regardless, she is a positive force for the other employees, because she brings food and can always "lend an ear" (8).

The next employee that the co-worker introduces is Kevin Howard, who is an infamous serial killer.
