Chapter 27 Summary

In his emergency session with Dr. Berger, Conrad talks through all his newly unleashed feelings about the boat accident. He tells Dr. Berger that he wants to be let off the hook for letting Jordan drown. Dr. Berger asks Conrad what he thinks he could have done to save Jordan, who was stronger and a better swimmer? He talks to Conrad about how he apparently feels the need to be the perfect one now that Jordan is gone. He also tells Conrad that he is pushing himself down by not connecting with his own unique feelings and personality. Conrad has to learn to be Conrad, but he's not sure who that is anymore. Conrad explains that depression is not crying and moaning; rather, it is a lack of feeling about anything. Dr. Berger.....
