Chapter 9 Summary

Conrad has a pop quiz in trigonometry. The experience makes him feel very anxious, even though he knows the answers. In the hall, after the quiz is over, he runs into a girl he has known since childhood. She has obviously not performed well on the quiz, and she is very upset. Conrad offers to tutor her, but she declines. After the encounter, his friends on the swim team tease him about her.
