Summary

Chinonso and Tobe arrive back at Tobe’s apartment. At first, Chinonso angrily imagines killing Jamike. However, he then feels remorseful and simply wishes for Jamike to return the money that he stole from Chinonso. Chinonso is anxious and has trouble falling asleep that night. In Chapter 13, the next day, Tobe helps Chinonso acquire a cheap cell phone. Chinonso uses it to call Ndali. Rather than worry her, Chinonso simply says that everything is fine but that there have been some logistical issues that he had to fix regarding his matriculation. Tobe introduces Chinonso to more students from the university, including several students from Nigeria.
