Hawthorn Cottage

Hawthorn Cottage is the vacation home that Tanya and her mother go to after the breakup between Tanya’s parents. It is described as a small building outside of the town of Spinney Wickett, only a small walk away from the Wishing Tree, the Pier, and the Castle. The fairy only referred to as Thingy (or the floorboard fairy) lives here, and it is implied that Thingy was abandoned by the child it protected. It is here where Tanya’s own guardian fairies find her, and where Tanya uses her first spell - the Sleep of the Dead - to stop them from forcing her to lie to her mother.
