Los Angeles is where a majority of the novel and the show take place as it is where Bea lives and where the headquarters of ABS is. This is where Bea sleeps with Ray in her apartment and where he abandons her after the fact. This is also where she goes on many of her early dates for the Main Squeeze, including the one-one-ones with Asher and Sam. The Reunion show also takes place here, and Asher and Bea reconcile at the same museum where they had their first one-on-one date. Eventually, Bea chooses to move out of Los Angeles to be with Asher and his children.
