Summary

The brothers start alternating taking days off from school to help their father keep up with his business. One morning when it is the narrator’s turn to stay home the father comes into the bedroom yelling about how the brother is a traitor, and it is revealed that the brother finally decided to call their mother for help. Furious, the father yells at the narrator and forces him to help him come up with some way to punish the brother. The narrator resists somewhat at first, however his allegiance to his father takes a hold of him and he helps him come up with a plan. They decide to ambush the brother when he gets home from school, tie him up, and scare him with a knife. The narrator feels guilty, but is sure the brother will be able to fight them off...
