Summary

In "New Year’s Resolutions 2012," Laurie resolves to return to London to begin her job in publishing. She also decides to try to stay with Oscar when they return. In addition, she resolves to try false eyelashes again.

On January 3, Laurie goes to meet Oscar’s mother. He has tried to take care of her since she and his father separated. Laurie feels that his mother looks down on her and her family and is not happy that she is dating Oscar.

On March 10, Laurie goes to see Oscar whom she sees less now because she is living with her parents. She feels happy that they are still together. They joke about how she is overdressed when she arrives. She comes back with less clothes under her coat. He wants her to promise him that she will always visit him...
