Summary

It is the beginning of 2010 in the chapter titled "New Year’s Resolutions." Laurie reviews her New Year’s resolutions from the previous year. She is still working in the hotel. Although she does not have a job at a magazine, she has written some articles that were not published and had two interviews that did not work out. She found Jack, but realizes that she has to be more specific in her wishes. This year she wants to work on how to “fall out of love” (76).
