Summary

In Part Two, "Golden Age," Chapter 14, the landlord threatens to evict Bri’s family if they do not pay rent. Jay insists she will figure something out. On the bus, Sonny tells Bri his crush wants to meet up. At school, Malik apologizes to Bri. Curtis announces that Bri’s song has gone viral.

In Chapter 15, Bri's song continues getting attention online. On their way to the Ring, Pooh scolds Bri for wearing Lawless’s pendant, fearing she will be robbed. At the Ring, members of the Crowns gang accuse Bri of threatening them with her song. Pooh and a Crown grow aggressive. The bouncer demands they leave. Bri begs to stay for the battle, but is disallowed. Pooh blames Bri for the conflict, speeding away. Supreme gives Bri a ride.
