Summary

In Chapter 8, Bri wakes to Jay's recovering drug addict group talking in the kitchen. She stands outside, listening to Jay discuss the difficulties of job interviews; no one wants to hire a former addict. When Jay sees Bri, she holds her on her lap until Pooh and Scrap arrive to pick Bri up.

When they arrive at the recording studio, Bri is initially unimpressed by the messy house. The recording space, however, is nicer than she expected. Pooh's friends tell her they have written a beat; she just needs to write the words. Based on a line Pooh says, Bri begins writing. Pooh gets a call, then announces she has to leave. Bri demands she stay as she is her manager. Pooh insists she will be fine.

After Pooh leaves, Bri keeps writing. The men in the room show each other...
