Summary

Page 30 is a full-page panel with a chaotic mix of buildings, cities, and countryside. On page 31, Laureline warns that they are in danger if they fly into the chaos but Jadna refuses to stop. She rants about the Egg Alien's genius for recreating Eath's historical periods. Laureline believes the Egg Alien has “lost it” (31). Jadna refuses to let Laureline stop until the spaceship runs into land and becomes stuck. Laureline hits her head and is knocked unconscious. Jadna looks through the window and sees troops amassed, as they would have been for a World War I battle. Just then, a bomb blows up right outside the window.

Jadna wakes all the remaining clones and Valerian. She says they will be her “Prussian troops,” and that she plans to “rewrite history” (34). She quickly provides clothes and weapons for them. They are obviously confused. One...
