A New Life

The first two weeks that they lived in Amerikha, they shared a two room, two bedroom hotel room in Chicago. Workers from World Relief met them at the airport, and the family was put in a hotel room as the organization looked for a church to sponsor the family. They couldn't find anyone in Chicago, so the family was moved to a different hotel. This one was in the suburbs. A woman named Beth worked with World Relief to find a sponsor in the area. Meanwhile, she helped them get medical care since Mawi's father had malaria. She visited the family, offering compassion and whatever help she could offer.
