Neither Penelope nor Odysseus sleeps well. Odysseus is concerned about whether he and Telemachus will be able to defeat the large number of suitors, but Athena tells him that the gods make all things possible. On the other hand, Penelope is bothered by the loss of Odysseus and this new commitment to marry again. She prays for Artemis to kill her.
