Urithiru

Urithiru is the main setting of the novel and where most of the characters spend the majority of their time. It is described as a city that is far above the rest and has its own tower that Shallan sketches numerous times in different ways. The city itself is technologically advanced and has many systems - such as their ventilation - that characters like Navani spend much of the novel trying to figure out how it works. It is also technically at the center of every other nation thanks to the Oathgates that connected Urithiru to other kingdoms once the Oathgates are open. Because of its height, Urithiru is unaffected by the Everstorm. Dalinar’s goal is to bring all the rulers of Roshar to Urithiru in a battle against the Voidbringers and Odium.
