Summary

Part Three: 60: Winds and Oaths opens with Kaladin flying to Kholinar with Elhokar, Adolin, Shallan, and the others. Shallan is mesmerized by flight, and Kaladin wonders if he could teach her to fly without Lashings. Syl talks to Kaladin about Shallan but he stops the conversation as they get closer to Kholinar. Kaladin leaves his men in charge of keeping everyone afloat while he goes to scout. He is relieved to find the city has not yet fallen and is enamored by how beautiful it is. However, he sees darkness around the palace and Syl says something is wrong. Elhokar tells them to go down into the city, but Kaladin and Adolin tell him to be cautious. Shallan says they can land outside of the city and use illusions to sneak inside.
