Summary

Part Two: 38: Broken People opens as Dalinar enters another vision during a battle. He charges in before his men are backed off a cliff, but fails in his assault. Stormfather asks why Dalinar does not heal himself and Dalinar calls it cheating. He slips back through the enemy and down the incline where he sees a Voidbringer and wonders what caused them to grow without an Everstorm. A Shardbearer arrives and Dalinar uses Stormlight to heal himself and asks why men fought for the Voidbringers. As the fight ends, he asks Stormfather to bring in Navani and Jasnah and Navani leaves to watch a Radiant healing others. Jasnah and Dalinar talk about the order of his visions and the effects of the Desolation. They talk about the Almighty and he asks Jasnah how she handles rumors. She tells him he is not a...
