Summary

In Chapter 37, Sylvia confronts Henry over Ava, Zeke, and Carrie. Henry instantly begins apologizing for everything. She tells Henry she did not like him from the moment she met him, that Ava deserves better. Henry asks if JJ is the one for Ava. Sylvia says he is not. Sylvia tells Henry to take care of his child, and to get himself together. She tells him not to ruin his life.

In Chapter 38, Ava forgets for a moment where she is when she wakes up, causing her to panic briefly. Henry drives up to JJ’s to talk to Ava. Henry seeks forgiveness, says he is going through a slump, and says how he has been is not him. Ava tells him to get help, that he has killed her, and that he is selfish.
