Sergio’s Math Award

Sergio’s math award is a symbol of the promise Sergio has both as a student and a person. He is one of five students chosen to receive this award based on his score on a test. The award is prestigious enough that his plane fare and hotel costs are covered to attend an awards ceremony. Sergio lives up to the faith put in him when he steps between an angry white man who is threatening a Muslim family trying to pay their respects at the 9/11 memorial ceremony.
