O’Hare International Airport

It is at O’Hare International airport that the four main characters of the novel — Aimee, Will, Sergio, and Naheed — happen to be in the same place at the same time. The beginning of the novel details what is happening in each of these character’s lives as they come within feet of each other, not realizing what is about to happen in their country or how it will affect their lives.
