Summary

Chapters 2 - 6 are all set on September 10, 2001.

Chapter 2 is set in Shanksville. Will ended an argument between his sisters over a box of cereal, a move for which his mother thanked him. Will knew that his mother was pleased with him for stepping up and helping after his father died. Even though he did help out, Will was still angry with his father because Will did not think that his father had to die.

Will remembered that the state troopers had come to the house to tell the family that Frank Rittenhouse, Will’s father, was dead before they even suspected anything was wrong.
