Fiji Cavanaugh

Fiji, a witch who lives in Midnight, is one of the narrative's main characters. She is a dynamic character as she changes both her attitude and her outlook during the narrative. Her personality, love-life, and powers play a pivotal role in the narrative because she is the only person who can save Midnight, and the world, from the demon.

The narrative shows Fiji going through an identity crisis. Previously, her personality has been that of a warm, cuddly, mother figure. Olivia calls her the town puppy and says that everyone loves her. Fiji is a nurturer as shown by the fact that she gives Diederik food to enhance her identity as a mother figure to him. She endures her sister, Kiki, because she is family. Circumstances, however, cause Fiji to reevaluate her nurturing stance and realize that being too nice can cause one harm.
