Summary

In Chapter 11, the narrative returns to Dilly in the Port of Algeciras. She ultimately decides not to interact with Maurice and Charlie, as she worries that it would pull her back towards her old life. She leaves the port and slips anonymously into the city, prepared to continue her life of roaming and maybe settle down somewhere eventually. Meanwhile, Maurice and Charlie saw Dilly in the crowd for a moment, but they are not sure that it was Dilly. They soon decide that, if it was Dilly, then she will be fine, as she looked strong, confident, and self-sufficient.
