Nicholas has to have advance permission to go outside of the palace, even for a walk in the park. Soldiers appeared and blocked his path every way he tried to go and pushed him back with their guns. He went back into the palace and Lili and Alexandra, who had been watching from an upstairs window, began to grasp what revolution met.
