Summary

In Chapter 21, narrated by Sophie, Sophie calls her father after Jared convinces her that she should give him an opportunity to tell his story. When Andrew admits he left the CD and that he knew where she and Lindsey lived because he followed Sophie home from school, Sophie tells him she does not want to see him anymore. He asks her to come see him over the weekend and promises that he will make their relationship right.

In Chapter 22, narrated by Lindsey, Lindsey discusses Sophie’s new relationship and how uneasy it makes her feel with Marcus. Lindsey also compares Jared to Andrew when she remembers how he was able to blind her to reality. When Lindsey tells Marcus about the CD that Andrew left her, Marcus offers again to allow Lindsey and Sophie to stay at his lake house.
