In 1983 Walt Disney Productions released a film version of Never Cry Wolf, starring Charles Martin Smith as the Mowat character, called "Tyler" in the film. Disney's Never Cry Wolf accurately captures both the events and the spirit of Mowat's book. A few scenes have been added to the film to heighten the adventure: the bush pilot transporting Tyler to Wolf House Bay repairs his aircraft in flight while a terrified Tyler holds the stick, and Tyler falls through.....
