Hope

Throughout the sadness of the breakup with Clint and the subsequent difficulties for Venus and her entire family, Venus maintains hope that this sadness will not last forever as well as that she will someday feel whole again and begin her life anew. She rationalizes her fears and changes in the hope of recapturing some semblance of how she was before and through finding new love with Tyson.

Despite the clarity and immediacy of Venus' love for Clint over the past few years, she somewhat refuses to acknowledge this truth until they are directly confronted by it.
