When a Trojan prince called Paris was asked to judge a beauty contest between three goddesses, Aphrodite bribed him with the offer of the most beautiful woman in the world. This turned out to be Helen, wife of King Menelaus of Sparta. Paris travelled there, abducted Helen, and took her back to Troy. This began a ten year war between Greece and Troy, with plenty of heroes on both sides. The Trojan hero Hector was killed by the great Greek hero Achilles. Achilles was killed by Paris, who shot an arrow in his heel, and Paris was killed soon after. The Greeks finally won the war with a trick. They built a huge wooden horse and hid their own men inside.
