Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was born in 1933 to Celia and Nathan Bader. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Influenced by her mother, Ginsburg was ladylike and independent from a young age. She devoted herself to school from a young age, and graduated top in her class in elementary and middle school. Even before attending university, Ginsburg had a love for writing, and expressed her political opinions clearly and succinctly in published editorial works. Ginsburg's Jewish heritage influenced her early interest in tradition and justice. However some of these traditions also inspired her later devotion to gender equality agendas.
