Regan Madison, a child of privilege, is being stalked by a crazed killer. This a situation would test the mettle of anyone, yet the majority of Regan's growth in the novel is completely unrelated to the threats against her.
On a professional basis, Regan is very good at what she does. She runs a charitable foundation started by her grandmother. She is a talented speaker and is able to open wallets with her charm and her sincere belief in her cause.
Yet, on a personal level, she allows her three older brothers to ride roughshod over her. Her privileged upbringing provided her with everything but a sense of security. Her father passed away when she was very young. Her mother was largely absent, busy traveling and collecting husbands.
As a result, Regan grew up fearing the loss.....
