Chapters 71-80 Summary and Analysis

In chapter seventy-one, Muhammad's wives ask him for things that they wouldn't have before. They are also jealous of a women sent from the ruler of Egypt to Muhammad. The Prophet receives a revelation about his wives, and some think that he has divorced them. Muhammad denies this but says that he needs some time away from them. He returns to them after a month.

In chapter, seventy-two, Muhammad and his followers leave for Mecca to perform the Lesser Pilgrimage. The Quraysh leave the city and go to the surrounding hills. They watch the Muslims enter Mecca and go to the Holy House. Muhammad touches the Black Stone with his staff and goes around the House seven times. Muhammad wants to enter the Holy House but it is locked. He asks for a key, but the Quraysh do not...
