In chapter nine, Arthur is on Hawalius, a planet of oracles, seers and soothsayers. It is also known for its take-out pizza parlors. Arthur travels there to receive advice. He finds an oracle. He asks Arthur to tune the radio. The oracle is unhappy with the radio stations, saying they replace the oracles. Arthur recognizes a reporter's voice. Her name is Trillian Astra. But the oracle throws the radio to the ground. Arthur goes to the village. He finds a woman seer who swats at flies in front of a cave. She smells horrible. She does her dead goat-like animals.
